Within the kayaking educational system Euro Paddle Pass / PaddelPasset you can choose to make an assessment of your skills for the various levels. For some it’s the required road to work professionally with kayaking , and for some it’s just a fun step in the progress as a kayaker. Whatever your reason is we will assess you on the Green and Blue level. It’s not only educational, but also fun.
The EPP (Euro Paddle Pass) is divided into six different levels – white, yellow, green, blue, red and black – of which we still only use five (up to red level) in Sweden, as we don’t have any real tides. For each level you can make an assessment to be aware of what skill level you currently have. Knowing your limits means your paddling will become safer and more relaxed and fun. It will most likely also be an inspiration to continue to improve. And to make your paddling even more enjoyable.
We will be happy to assess you on yellow, green and blue level. On the yellow level the assessment is part of our course Calm – basic course, but on the green and blue level the assessment is booked as a separate occasion over a full day.
Moving on
After a successful assessment you will receive a certification / proof (card) of your level of skill. It might prove useful when renting kayaks or joining certain sea kayak activities in certain destinations. Afterwards there is always the possibility of the next step. Sea kayaking is a lifelong journey of learning.
