Rescue 1 – safety course
In order to be independent on the rock, you need to be prepared for a number of possible situations that may arise, but also to ensure that action has been taken to minimize the likelihood of accidents or incidents occurring.
The course lasts for two full days at one or two of Bohuslän’s appropriate crags. The purpose of this course is to, under safe and inspiring forms, learn techniques to handle and avoid situations that may arise during what is commonly called “craging”, which means rock climbing of one rope length.
Our rescue course follow the norms of the Swedish Climbing Association and is led by an UIAA authorized climbing instructor.
• Exit the system
• By counterweight abseiling descend from a route when the belayer has been injured
• Using a 3:1 lift, 6:1 lift and helper lift, to hoist an injured belayer
• Descend in steep terrain with a lightly injured climber
• Collaborate with professional rescue services
• And much more
If you’re looking for climbing long multi-pitch routes it is important to learn how to handle and avoid various situations that may arise. You can learn that on our course Rescue 2 – Advanced rescue course.
Lunch / coffee
Please let us also fix your lunch and coffee. Order for an extra cost of 200 SEK per day. Our climbing lunch is an organic pasta salad with chicken, served with dressing, freshly baked bread and butter. We round that off with mom Lena’s homemade organic cinnamon buns and a coffee. Maybe even an espresso.
