The five days of ski touring in the heart of Jotunheimen (home of the giants) National Park is a high road across the roof of Scandinavia. It takes us over eight glaciers and seven peaks higher than 2.000 meters, including Galdhöpiggen (2.469 m.) and Glittertind (2.465 m.), Norway’s and all of Scandinavia’s two highest mountains. Needless to say views are breathtaking and runs are big in the most alpine area Northern Europe can offer.

The tour goes in expedition style from west to east, leading us to another lodge at the end of every daily stage. The average daily distance is roughly 15 kilometers with an altitude gain of approximately 1.000 – 1.500 meter per day, depending on what route we choose. Adjustments to prevailing weather can make the route differ in distance and become lower in altitude, if needed.

The tour is guided by UIAGM / IFMGA  Mountain Guide Oskar Brodén, who besides being an avalanche expert and responsible for the avalanche forecasting in Swedish Jämtlandsfjällen, is a great person to spend a week of your life together with. Not to speak about the great bunch of people that most certainly make up the group you will share your adventure with.
