The combination of a sea kayak and the West Sweden archipelago (Bohuslän) is among the most amazing experiences one can have. An absolute world class outdoor adventure. Our ambition is to pass on that feeling. We simply hope to create memories that will last a lifetime.

For three days / two nights we explore one of Bohuslän’s, and the world’s, finest paddling areas. We visit the most beautiful places, stay at the most idyllic beaches, look out for, and learn about, the area’s flora, fauna, history and traditions. We cook good food together and watch the sun set in the west.

Areas

West Sweden boasts mutiple wonderful areas for sea kayaking. Innumerable islands and skerries that offer sheltered waters, or exposed stretches of coast with the horizon as our neighbor. Listed below we mention a few. Depending on the prevailing wind and weather conditions we will choose the best possible option. If you, when you make your booking, are particularly curious in any of them, please let us know and we will take that into account.

• Koster Sea Marine National Park – A maze of islands in Sweden’s first marine national park. We look for seals and seabirds, visit Sweden’s westernmost lighthouse and glide around in an islands wonderland home to more than six thousand marine species.

• Fjällbacka archipelago – the essence of Bohuslän. A rich maritime history in a world of smooth, polished, gleaming red granite islands hiding sandy beaches, charming wooden houses and picturesque small fishing communities.

• Havstenssund archipelago – the hidden sea kayaking jewel of the coast. An archipelago divided by the islands Trossö, Kalvö and Lindö, that on one side hides a sheltered inner archipelago with sandy beaches and vegetated islands, and on the other offers an exposed archipelago of granite as beautiful as an archipelago ever can be.

• Orust west side – Käringön and Gullholmen are well known island communities, where houses friendly leaning against each other offer a classic view of Bohuslän. In a kayak Hermanö’s diverse and magnificent coastal scenery and Vallerös stunning sandy beaches are destinations you always long for.

Incredibly beautiful

"It's a lot of sheep-shit," Neal said. And of course there is a lot of sheep on the islands around Fjällbacka, but it's also incredibly beautiful. Kayaking was new to me, it was fun and very relaxing. Oscar and Mia were just the right amount of energy and gave many useful tips (not to have the paddle upside down, for example...) The food was far beyond expectations and the tent and other equipment very good! Fun to try some different weather and wind, tranquility and a little more boat traffic. I'd love to join you on a longer trip if the opportunity arises!
